House Rules
House Rules for the Flagstaff Nature Suite, parking, yard and chickens
General House Rules (not as fun but we have to cover these)
-
Smoking inside the property is prohibited.
-
Pets are not permitted inside the property.
-
Parties and events are prohibited inside the property.
-
Guests must respect City of Flagstaff's quiet hours: Monday through Friday between the hours of twelve o'clock (12:00) A.M. and six o'clock (6:00) A.M. and on Saturday and Sunday between the hours of one o'clock (1:00) A.M. and seven o'clock (7:00) A.M.
-
Remove shoes on the porch, Flagstaff cinders the roads in winter and they have a habit of making their way into our homes and causing damage.
-
Do not put any food down the sink.
-
Please be sure to unplug any kitchenette appliances when you are finished using them (especially the coffee machine.)
-
No loud music. Please respect others living in the neighborhood. Many have to work in the morning.
-
Guests must not engage in unlawful activities inside or outside the property.
-
We live in a diverse neighborhood with wonderful neighbors, however, if we get complaints of racist comments or threats toward them, this will result in a nonrefundable forfeit of your stay.
Parking
Only park in the designated spot in the carport in front of the Suite. Only one vehicle (or two motorcycles) is allowed. 2 Bicycles may be stored in the yard by the shed.
Please always keep the side yard door closed and locked at all times, do not leave it propped open.
Chickens:
We have 2 hens that you may enjoy watching. We provide a treat box with their scratch if you would like to toss them some of their favorite healthy grain treat - small amounts, please. Please only treat them twice a day and please check with us before offering them anything else as some foods are not good for them. Please do not reach into their pen to try to pet them, they may think you are trying to feed them. They are sweet girls and if you are interested in petting them, please contact us through Airbnb chat and we will try to arrange a time to hold them for you. (Curiosity likes pets the most!)
Cameras
There are two cameras and motion lights for your safety and for the safety of the chickens (we do have some predators of chickens such as raccoons and skunks that occasionally make their way through the neighborhood.). Do not tamper with the lights.
Outdoor Equipment:
You may use the ice chest, camping gear, and other outdoor gear in the shed from the marked box. (Return clean after use so others may enjoy.)
Do not bring sports or camping gear into the suite. These can be stored in the shed during your stay. Remove any private gear at check out.
Chickens
Any harassment, or handling without the owner present is grounds for the immediate forfeit of your stay.
Cleaning Rules
Help us ensure that the property remains clean and tidy for all our guests.
-
Guests must clean up after themselves, including washing dishes and taking out the trash.
-
No food down the sink, please dispose of any food in the trash. Please keep the area clean. We don't have a lot of pests in northern Arizona but we do have tiny ants that can be uncanny at finding food and sometimes a fly can get in.
-
A trash and recycle bin have been provided for you under the kitchenette counter. Cleaning supplies can be found in the closet and under the bathroom sink.
-
You can put your towels and other used linens in the bathtub to be collected and cleaned at checkout. No need to make the bed or move bedding at checkout. It will be removed and cleaned.
-
Cleaning fee: There is a cleaning fee for the property so we can keep it nice for all our guests.
Security Rules
-
Please lock all doors and windows when leaving the property.
-
Guests must not share the access code with anyone outside the property.
-
Don't leave valuables in the suite or unattended.
Amenities Rules
-
We know space is limited but do not eat in the bed.
-

AirBnB Ratings:
Did you know that Airbnb has begun to penalize hosts who fall below a 4.7-star rating? Many people will leave hosts positive 4-star reviews — because people believe that AirBnB’s stars are like a hotel’s rating system. Unfortunately, the AirBnB rating system is not built that way! A four-star review significantly and negatively impacts our overall rating, making it a challenge for hosts like us to maintain our listing and share our love of Flagstaff with our guests. We try to give 5-star service. If you have any suggestions or changes you think might help improve the Suite, please reach out through the Airbnb chat or leave us a note in the Suite.
